Work Groups
The Coalition structure has two components: Core Team and Work Groups. The Coalition has identified five strategies for addressing homelessness in Evanston, each of which has been made into a Work Group, that is staffed by volunteers from Coalition members. The purpose of each Work Group is to create solutions to the specific need(s) of the Work Group. Work Groups are led by co-chairs elected by its members. For more information about each Work Group, see below.
Homelessness
Prevention
The Coalition will work with advocates, including people with lived experience, landlords and concerned citizens by removing obstacles that keep people from accessing housing, financial and other resources that will prevent homelessness. And work towards reducing barriers, securing more resources and introducing more support services into the community.
